Little Woodpeckers Childcare and Training is a diverse business based around children. At the core of the business is the owner Suzanne Sapsed.

Suzanne has had a lifelong working career in all aspects of childcare, including working on a children's ward, owning and managing two successful day nurseries and teaching Childcare and Playwork at local educational establishments. She has the NNEB Diploma, along with Playwork Level 3, assessors award, a teaching degree and has just completed the childminding qualification.

With also extensive personal experience of parenting her own birth children, adopting, and special needs the knowledge and experience Suzanne has gathered over the past 30 years will be invaluable for Little Woodpeckers parents, children and learners.

If you are considering using our training facility for Childcare, Playwork, or Health and Social Care, you can be assured that, with a combined experience of over 90 years in these fields with the tutors/assessors, the training you receive will be of the utmost quality.


We will soon be running a group for up to nine children up to the age of 5, with a minimum of 3 childminders present and at least 2 will be qualified in Early Years at all times. Your child will have the benefit of day care experience within a home environment.
