We are a family based training provider specialising in Childcare, Playwork and Health and Social Care courses. Our Tutors and Assessors have a combined experience of over 90 years in these fields. We train predominately in Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire.
Our Childcare and Playwork Tutor has a one hundred percent success rate with all learners, including learners who may need extra support, e.g. dyslexic or EAL learners. She has been the owner of two successful day nurseries as well as a Tutor at a College of Further Education. Our Health and Social Care professionals are equally as proficient in their own fields.
WHY CHOOSE LITTLE WOODPECKERS?
We fully support the need for competent qualified staff in the Social Care sector and we strive to ensure that every learner receives as much support as they need. Being a small provider we have the advantage of being able to develop good relationships with both the learner and his/her employer. We ensure that we target the learners individual learning needs. Delivery methods for our teaching courses vary, but are all designed to be as convenient and flexible as possible. Short courses can be organised at the company's place of work. With the qualifications that take longer to study our tutors plan to meet termly with learners at Little Woodpeckers business address, individually or in small groups. Observations are carried out once a term to provide evidence of continuity of practice. In between these meetings our Tutors/Assessors remain in constant contact with the learners via email, Skype and text.
At Little Woodpeckers we provide a training solution tailored to your needs. As a small business we are able to keep our overheads low and are therefore able to pass these savings onto the learners fees. We let you know at the beginning the exact cost of the course, and this will not change except in extreme circumstances, i.e. a learner taking longer than the agreed time scale. We are happy to accept payments in instalments and will also apply for funding to cover the cost of the course wherever possible.
